Recipe created by Kripalu's Executive Chef Jeremy Smith


  • 2 apples, halved and cored
  • 4 teaspoons of ghee or coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons of raisins
  • 2 teaspoon of ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dry ginger root
  • 1 ea. 17.9 oz bag of Cardamom, Cinnamon, Walnut OJAS STUDIO Date & Grain Bites
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Pinch of allspice


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Halve the apples the short way
  3. Using a tablespoon, scoop out the core and create a well from the flesh side of both halves while creating a well to place the stuffing
  4. Toss the apple halves with 1 teaspoon of the ghee and arrange in a 2-inch-deep glass baking dish
  5. In a small mixing bowl combine the remaining ghee, ginger, OJAS STUDIO bites, nutmeg and allspice
  6. Using your hand gently and break up OJAS STUDIO bites until they are about the size of green peas.
  7. Divide the mixture into roughly 4 portions and then stuff each apple, cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes or until the apples are slightly fork tender but still firm
  8. Remove foil and bake for an additional 4 to 5 minutes, until the apples are soft but still hold their shape. Serve warm and enjoy!
